We've haven't seen Sparkles use the hyperjump yet though...that could be the big ticket psychic-necessary device. Or not. Just guessing here.

The transporter...now that does look like it needs to siphon off psychic powers to work. Recalling the fact that Gunner's so powerful he can teleport several people without the aid of a machine, I'm guessing that Excelsior's transporter not only requires psychic energy to work...it stores it up somehow in those round thingies, allowing weaker psys to teleport objects/people.

indeed. certain systems might have a psychic lock, but most of the stuff la holograma does isn't. i mean, look at what robot does. she probably does the same stuff.

Possibily. I think I used a bit 'o Artistic License and added one. She is a Capital Ship. Since that's the case, I assume there's a hanger somewhere on her.
The lateral placement is purely guess work. As are the turrets.

Excelsior isnt really a capital ship like the Enterprise or something. Its more of a unmarked scouting and recon ship the Resistance happened to come upon during the events in "Hard Luck". It doesnt have a hangar to carry other smaller ships. I like your take on it Nathan, but I felt obligated to point out the size to squelch untrue rumors. If the ship had smaller ships, we would have seen the crew use them by now. Think of it as maybe twice or three times the size of Serenity from Firefly without the smaller crafts.

Ah, so she's more of a Corvette rather than a Frigate.

Was hard to tell, as she was clearly bigger than most GEF pursuit craft we've seen so far. Still she's pretty sizable!

Erm . . . the size bay could be a cargo loading bay only a couple meters high! Yeah, that's the ticket!

the ship has looked like this for a very long time, as evidenced by her hovering over zap. which was presumably long before zap heard of reona.


unless this is all a ploy by zap to get into reona's pants. EVERYTHING. including the whole amnesia thing.
