that would be the biggest problem with comics....they take so damned long...

which makes me think that 'the first ship' is either a reference to the first excelsior, or simply to the first one that left. but imma go with a precursor to excelsior.

I should have checked the news post when reading the comic. So it is a magical coincidence. I just re-read that Excelsior isn't the first ship but it is most likely on the way also. One big not exactly happy reunion.

good thing about the news post is that it doesn't refute my idea that the first ship, while NOT excelsior can't be something related to excelsior.

Ah yes. I didn't remember Naveed being dispatched to get Reona or Robot.

Did you know that the RSS feed updates a week behind when the comics move off the main page and into the archive?

I believe that's actually a google reader issue... (I've looked into it before)

But, we're going to be moving sites in about a month and likewise getting a new rss feed, so hopefully that issue will just go away.

Here comes the plot!

...I couldn't help thinking this when I read the comic. And I had forgotten what Naveed had been sent out to do... I knew that she wasn't there looking for Reona or Robot but I forgot about the "first ship" thing... It will be most interesting to see what becomes of this. Maybe it has something to do with those cave drawings we saw a couple of weeks ago...?
There's a limit to how long you can pretend to be something before you become it...
Do you know when you've crossed the line?

You're right, the feed has the current update but the reader isn't pulling them right. I think it must not like sending me to the homepage for an update. I can always just hit current when it shows me the old one.

There, there. We all know it takes time to do that thing you do. Thank you for doing it, and thank you for reminding us of important things when we need it. :)

17 x 4 = 68 pages = a lot of pages to remember something that Gunner said. So even if it wasn't a webcomic I might still have needed a reminder of some sort. Well, at least if I was inclined to question the appearance of Naveed, or draw any particular conclusions from it. There's always the option of lazily accepting that she's there, and then reading on to see what she's up to. ;)
